Product Description

Hong Ye Silicone HY-630 is a high-quality two-component addition-curing liquid silicone rubber (RTV-2) designed for precision mold making applications. Cured with a platinum catalyst at a 1:1 mix ratio, this silicone produces highly detailed, dimensionally accurate molds with excellent tear strength and long service life. Suitable for casting resins, soaps, candles, waxes, gypsum, concrete, and low-melt alloys.

Key Performance Characteristics

• Low shrinkage rate: ≤0.1% volumetric shrinkage after curing, ensuring precise reproduction of fine details and exact dimensions.
• High tear strength: ≥25 kN/m tear resistance means molds can withstand repeated demolding without tearing or damage — up to hundreds of casts per mold.
• Excellent detail reproduction: Captures even the finest surface textures, engravings, and delicate features from original patterns.
• Food contact safe: Meets FDA food-grade standards, safe for use with food molds like chocolate, candy, and ice cubes.
• Good chemical resistance: Resists degradation from most casting materials including epoxy resin, polyurethane, polyester resin, and gypsum.
• Room temperature curing: Cures at 25°C without heating; can be accelerated with mild heat (60-80°C) for faster turnaround.
• No byproducts: Platinum addition cure releases no alcohol or acidic fumes — safe to use indoors and no unpleasant odor.
