Fumed Silica Price Hikes Temporarily Pause; Silicone Rubber C
Keywords: Fumed silica, price stabilization, silicone rubber compound, cost transmission
Following two consecutive days of price increases, fumed silica producers suspended further price adjustments on April 9, with most companies maintaining current quotation levels.
Current price situation:
Mainstream fumed silica prices are stable at
12,800–13,200 yuan/ton, representing an overall increase of 500 yuan/ton compared with April 7.
Industry impact:
As a core reinforcing filler for high-performance silicone rubber, this round of price increases has directly pushed up the production cost of silicone rubber compounds by
1.2%–1.8%.
In response, most large and medium-sized silicone rubber compounders have issued advance price adjustment notices to downstream customers, planning to transfer cost pressures in the coming week.
With the stabilization of raw material prices, the operational pressure on small and medium-sized compound factories has eased slightly, and the market expects a moderate and orderly price adjustment for silicone rubber products rather than a sharp increase.
