GB 4806.16-2025 Official Standard to Be Enforced in September

GB 4806.16-2025 is the strictest special standard for food-grade silicone, updating limits on heavy metals, VOC emissions and migration under high temperature and acidic conditions. After implementation, unqualified silicone products will be banned from domestic sales and export. At present, less than 30% of silicone factories have completed standard upgrading, while small manufacturers face elimination pressure.
