Despite the upcoming cancellation of the 13% export tax rebate for primary polysiloxane (effective April 1), export-oriented enterprises have accelerated the export of existing orders in advance, driving the rebound of export volume. At the same time, the continuous recovery of the global economy and the strong demand for silicone products in emerging markets have also provided strong support for export growth.
Currently, domestic silicone exporters are actively adjusting their export strategies, accelerating the layout in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America, to reduce reliance on traditional markets such as Europe and North America. Large leading enterprises such as Hesheng Silicon Industry and Dongyue Silicon Materials have also increased investment in overseas market development, establishing localized sales and service networks to enhance market share. Industry analysts point out that although the cancellation of the export tax rebate will bring certain pressure to exporters of primary silicone products in the short term, the long-term shift to high-value-added products and emerging markets will help improve the overall competitiveness of China’s silicone exports and promote the high-quality development of the export sector.
