On April 7, 2026, the State Administration of Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China officially issued GB/T 42288-2026, the new national standard for mobile power banks (portable charging sources), which will be formally implemented on April 1, 2027.
The new standard significantly strengthens requirements for safety, temperature control, overheating protection, and reliability. To meet the stricter heat dissipation and safety performance indicators:

This regulatory upgrade will further drive the structural upgrading of the silicone industry, shifting from general-purpose products toward high-value-added, high-performance special silicone materials.
