This move directly impacts over 60% of Chinese silicone export products, particularly mold silicone, personal care silicone, and medical-grade materials. Hongye Silicone anticipated this regulatory shift 18 months ago, launching a dedicated R&D project to develop low-cyclic and zero-D4 silicone formulations. By April 2026, the company had completed the upgrade of 95% of its product lines, including platinum-cured mold silicone, food-grade liquid silicone rubber, and electronic potting glue, all of which now meet EU’s low-VOC and cyclic siloxane limits. Third-party testing reports confirm that Hongye’s new formulations have cyclic siloxane content below 0.05%, well exceeding EU requirements, ensuring continued market access for European clients.
