Anyone who has used silicone molds knows that silicone molds have their unique advantages over ordinary steel molds, aluminum films and the like. And in the industrial field, there are two kinds of liquid silica gel used to produce molds, one is tin-cured and the other is platinum-cured. Today, I will give you a review of the problems that are easy to occur in mold making and the corresponding solutions.   Question 1: Why does the silicone mold have fewer molds? In the process of making the mold, too much silicone oil is added. The silicone oil destroys the molecular weight of the silica gel, so the mold will have fewer times of mold turning and less durability. If you say that the product with a small product pattern is more complicated, and the mold with a high hardness is used to open the mold, there will be a phenomenon that the number of mold turning is small, because the time when the silica gel is too hard will be very brittle and easy to break. On the contrary, if you build a product and use a low-hardness silica gel to make the mold, the result will be unsatisfactory. Because the silica gel is too soft, its tensile strength and tear strength will be reduced, and the resulting mold will be deformed, so the number of mold turning will be reduced. The quality of the mold glue itself is very good, the silicone is not good or bad, only suitable and not suitable. This is not the case when we make a mold using silica gel that is suitable for the hardness of the product.   Question 2: Why does the silicone mold appear to burn? Because the unsaturated resin and the resin product are added with a peroxide curing agent, a large amount of heat is generated when the resin reacts. Generally, the curing time of the resin is 3 minutes, so it is necessary to demold the mold as soon as possible after 3 minutes to prevent the silicone mold from being prevented. Produce a phenomenon of burning.   Question 3: Why is there a difference in the pulling force of the silicone mold? Because the customer in the process of making the mold, in order to reduce the viscosity of the silica gel, the silica gel is easy to operate and a large amount of silicone oil is added to the silica gel, which will make the silica gel become soft, resulting in imperviousness and tearing. The crack strength is reduced, and the tensile force is deteriorated, thereby causing the mold to be unsatisfactory, the service life is short, and the number of times of overturning is small. Question 4: Why does platinum silicone rubber appear to be non-cured? This is because platinum catalyzes the poisoning reaction of silica gel. It may be incorporating some condensation type silica gel or it is exposed to other metal materials. So you need to pay attention to the following three points: 1. Since the addition molding glue is easy to be poisoned, it should be cleaned when using the condensed rubber and then add molding glue to avoid poisoning. 2. Do not add any color or powder to the molding gel before the test, so as to avoid catalyst poisoning and curing. 3. Additive molding is currently a two-component, component A, B. The component A used is that the container cannot be added to the component B before it is cleaned, and vice versa. 4. When mixing A and B materials, whether it is 1:1 glue or 10:1 glue, it is necessary to carry out the ingredients strictly according to the matching requirements, and do not add more or less with the single components to avoid the hardness change.   Although there are many problems, the solution is continuous.
