Resin gift mold making

According the size and complication degree of the resin gift, you could choose pouring molding or brushing molding. If you choose pouring molding, then it requires that the texture of the art can not be too complicated. In the following, I will make a brief introduction for the perfusion molding: 1. Firstly, Clean the original mold then dry it with air gun 2. Spray release agent on the surface of the original mold. 3. Build the mold frame with four pieces of veneer. 4. Evenly mix the silicone and catalyst at specified ratio. 5. Do the process of vacuum pumping for 3-5 minutes.(10 minutes at most) 6.pour the silicone rubber into the mold frame. Till the mold get cured enough, we take out the mold. This process is finished.   As for the resin product with big size and complicated texture, we usually adopt the method of brushing cast: 1. Earnestly prepare needed tools and dispose the original mold. The original mold’s quality has direct relation to the  mold's. 2. Fix the original mold onto to the vacuum tank, then fix the vacuum tank onto the board. 3. Select the appropriate mold line. Maybe in specific circumstance, you should choose more than one mold line,but here we just take simple process for example. 4. Horizontally put the fixed original mold on another board. The two board should be vertical with each other. Along the mold line, pile up fatlute. Make sure the surface of the fatlute is smooth then make clamping buttons. 5. Clean the surface of the original mold and the clay bulk with detergent then dry it with air gun. Then we brush the prepared liquid silicone onto it. The first layer of silicone is required to thinly cover the surface of the original mold and the clay bulk. After that, we put the mold into the vacuum container for vacuum pumping. 30 minutes later, we brush the second layer of silicone which should be 2-3mm. After finish the second layer of silicone, every time you brushed a layer of silicone, you can add a piece of glass cloth to enhance the tear strength. 6. You’d better make a outer mold with plaster. 7.
