Brief introduction on the pad printing machine

Pad printing machine is a kind of printing equipment, which is applicable to plastic, toys, glass, metal, ceramics, electronics, IC, etc. Pad printing is a printing technique with silicon pad as a carrier, and it has become a main method of printing and decoration.   Superiority of pad printing machine: 1. A printing machine can do up to 12 chromatic which is also called multicolor overprint, and all products can also be one-time printed out. Not only can it improve the efficiency but also save the money, you can afford these costs even if you are a small factory just built. Pad printing is cheaper than similar products of multi-color overprint of screen printing machine. 2. Compared the characteristics of screen printing machine, the ink layer of pad printing machine is very thin, which means that pad printing is easy to leave a mark on the surface of any product and copy printing pattern perfectly, both flat and curved surface and surface waves. But the screen printing machine is very complex in this area, flat screen printing machine can only print graphic, if you want to print curved surface and the surface of the waves, you will apply another screen printing machine. 3. Pad printing machine with very good color performance and printability can print more products than screen printing machine, whether it is plastic or metal, both sports and glass products, for pad printing machine is a piece of cake, although the stereo sense that you can feel uneven feeling with the hand touch of printed pattern is more strong by using the screen printing technology.     Operation of pad printing machine: 1. At first, you will put ink on a steel plate coated. And then scrape the excess ink with a retractable blade. At this time, the solvent ink left in the etching region will evaporate and the surface of silicone is formed. Next, the silicon pad is dropped to etching plate and absorbs the ink. 2. The silicon pad will rise after absorbing most of the ink of the etching plate. At this point, part of ink of this layer is evaporated again. The rest of the wet ink is more conducive to the combination of printed objects and silicon pad. This rolling action of silicon pad is to drain the excess air of etched plate and the ink surface. 3. For the cooperation of ink and silicon pad, it is the ideal situation that all the ink of steel plate coated is transferred to the object to be printed in the process of producing and the silicon pad is easily affected by air, temperature, static size, and so on. It is successful if the volatile speed and dissolution rate are controlled in balanced state in the whole process from etching plate to silicon pad to the matrix. If the evaporation speed is fast, ink has dried up before being absorbed. And the gel is not yet formed on the ink surface, it is also not easy to attach for the silicon pad and matrix.   In the operation of pad printing machine, we often find that the silicon pad can not transfer the printing pattern well. Firstly, it is normal phenomena that every two out of ten products have this problem if the plastic toys are not spray painted. As in the production process, mold release agent will be sprayed onto the surface of the steel plate for every dozen products, and there will be some mold release agent left on the surface of the first one or two product.
