On May 8, DMC mainstream offers increased by another 300 RMB/ton, reaching a new 2026 high. Operating rates at major Shandong/Jiangsu/Zhejiang monomer facilities remain at 68%–72% due to extended annual maintenance. Spot cargo is extremely scarce, and most producers prioritize order backlogs through late June. Import DMC arrivals are down 15% month-on-month, and East China port inventories are at a 6-month low, tightening spot supply further. Market participants expect DMC to stay above 16,000 RMB/ton until late June. Hongye Silicone secured Q1 long-term contracts, ensuring stable raw material supply and steady production of mold silicone, electronic potting compounds, and food-grade LSR despite spot volatility.
